WordPress Website Delivery
What Constitutes Delivery of a WordPress Website
Delivery of a WordPress website is complete when the client or their authorized representative is given Administrator-level login credentials to the live site. This is the web development industry standard.
Delivery does not require:
- The site to be publicly visible to the general public — the site may be in Maintenance Mode, but an Administrator can still log in and fully manage the site
- Every page of content to be published
Delivery = Administrator credentials provided & site live on a server.
WordPress Administrator Access
WordPress Administrator is the highest access level in WordPress. There is no higher permission. An Administrator has full, unconditional control over the entire website, including:
| Capability | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Log into the Dashboard | Access the Admin Dashboard of the site at any time |
| Disable Maintenance Mode | Turn off Maintenance Mode at any time |
| View and edit all content | Access every page, post, image, product, and file on the site |
| Install or remove anything | Add or delete plugins, themes, and all site components |
| Create full backups | Export the entire site including database and files from the WordPress dashboard |
| Migrate the site | Move the site to any other host from the WordPress dashboard |
